Vickie was one of the first office volunteers to help out at our Parkinson’s Outreach Center beginning in 2003. After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2002, she successfully and graciously transitioned from a professional career to offering her time, knowledge and experience as a much needed volunteer.
Born and raised in Missouri, Vickie and her husband moved to California in 1969 where she began a career working in the legal field where she wore many hats: as an office administrator; certified transportation coordinator; and the Injury and Illness Prevention Program Coordinator. Because of these and many other life experiences, Vickie brings a wealth of information to our Chapter.
Vickie and her husband live in Huntington Beach where they are close to their daughter and 3 darling granddaughters. She keeps active and busy through her volunteer work and fills her free time reading, gardening and meeting with friends.
