NPFOCC at the Long Beach Marathon

The National Parkinson Foundation Orange County Chapter participated in the 26th Long Beach International Citi Bank Marathon & Half Marathon as a designated charity on Sunday, October 17, 2010.

It’s not too late for our supporters to help by making a contribution on behalf of NPFOCC.  The website for NPFOCC will remain open until December 1, 2010.

Each of our participants/fundraisers took steps in their race on October 17thtowards helping us to meet our fundraising goal.  While to date we have not achieved our stated goal of $20,000, this fundraiser has been a success given today’s economic climate.  We will continue to expand our Wellness Programs for our Parkinson community with the funds raised.
The Long Beach International City Bank Marathon enables nearly $1,000,000 in fundraising annually for its designated charities!  We feel very fortunate to be among those selected charities in this event.
